Cockton Hill Junior SchoolOur LearningGuitar and Violin PerformanceThis year our children have been learning how to play musical instruments. In year 4 and 5 they have shown a particular interest in the guitar and the violin. Earlier this term, they decided to host a concert for the school to show off what they have learned. Everyone was blown away by the performance. We really do have some talented musicians in our school! Year 3 and 4 Control SessionYear 3 and 4 have had two control sessions recently. We began the session by building a type of futuristic transport using only 5 lego pieces. We came up with some excellent ideas. Then we spent half of the session desigining an airport terminal using lego. We had to include a list of different places like a cafe, children's play area and seating area. This was followed by creating a labelled diagram. The second half of the afternoon was spent using a computer program to program a motor for a set amount of time and experiment with different speed settings. |
