While in Cockton Hill Junior School, we want our children to learn not only the academic subjects but to prepare them for life after school. This involves developing skills and attitudes for independence and looking ahead to the future and the world of work.
Our Careers programme has been drawn up as part of our inclusion in the North East Ambition Primary pilot and aims to link to the Career Benchmarks included therein.
All classes take part in dedicated Careers and Aspirations lessons on the final morning of each term and this is supplemented with links being drawn and explored through everyday teaching.
