Big Dance

On Friday the whole school took part in the Big Dance. We have been learning the dance for several weeks as part of our P.E. The dance was based around the different sports of the Olympics including running, rowing, javelin and swimming.

Tesco School Run

On Wednesday the whole school walked up to Bishop Barrington to take part in Tesco Great School Run. After a fun warm-up all children ran 3 times round the field totalling 1.2 miles! We were part of 2 million children taking part across the country. Huge congratulations to all children who took part and especially to Shane M and Jake P who came 1st and 2nd!

Easter Egg Competition

Our annual Easter Egg Competition was again a great success. Many children entered the competition and all of the eggs were fantastic. We saw some very topical eggs including eggs based around the Olympics and The Queen's Jubilee. The winners from each year group can be found below:

NSPCC Fundraising

Over the past few weeks all children have taken part in a sponsored event raising money for the NSPCC. We are delighted to inform you that the total raised was over £2500. Thank you to all parents, carers, families and friends who supported our pupils with this event.

Taylor Shaw Christmas Card competition

Joshua in Year 4 was one of many children in the school to enter Taylor Shaw's Christmas card competition. Everyone was asked to design a christmas card that would be printed onto the company's card. Josh was the winner of the competition - his card was chosen out of all the entries from the area,  His Christmas card is going to be printed on over 600 cards and given out to school all over the North East. Joshua also won a £25 Argos voucher- Well done Joshua-we are very proud of you!
